Collection: Recovery

This is the recovery supplements range for people who train hard, work physical jobs, or simply want to bounce back quicker between sessions. If your legs feel heavy two days after rugby, your sleep isn't quite repairing what the gym broke, or your joints grumble after a long shift, this is where you start. Sensible products, functional doses, no fairy-dust formulas.

What makes our range different is the filter. We've stocked recovery products in the shop in Paignton since 2006, so what's here is what actually gets re-ordered by gym-goers, runners and weekend athletes. Magnesium in forms your body can use, protein that mixes cleanly, omegas that aren't oxidised, EAAs without the pixie dust. Free UK shipping over £75. Browse the range below.

Why most recovery supplements don't work

Most of the recovery tubs on the shelves of big chains fail in one of three ways. The dose is too low to do anything useful, the form is the cheapest the manufacturer could get away with (magnesium oxide is the classic offender, barely absorbed), or the label is padded with fillers and proprietary blends so you can't tell what you're actually taking. None of that helps you recover.

Real recovery is unglamorous: you eat enough protein, you sleep, you get the right nutrients in functional amounts, and you stay consistent for weeks rather than days. Supplements support that routine. They don't replace it. If you train more than twice a week, the basics that move the needle are magnesium, protein, omega-3s and creatine. Everything else is fine-tuning.

Who this range is for

Gym-goers and lifters who want cleaner post-session recovery and less next-day stiffness. Runners and cyclists clocking real mileage who need their joints and soft tissue supported. Rugby, football and combat-sport athletes managing repeated impact. Midlife adults in their 40s, 50s and 60s who notice recovery now takes longer than it used to and want a practical, no-nonsense routine. Anyone working a physically demanding job who finishes the week wrecked.

How to choose

Start with the limiting factor. If sleep is broken, a quality magnesium glycinate is the first lever, sitting in the Sleep & Calm range. If you're under-eating protein, a clean whey or plant protein from Protein Powders closes the gap fastest. If you train heavy or fast, 5g of creatine daily is the most evidence-backed performance and recovery aid in the Creatine & Performance range. For joint comfort under load, look at the Joint Care collection.

How to take it

Magnesium with the evening meal works for most people. Protein within a couple of hours of training, or spread across the day to hit your daily total. Creatine 5g at any time, consistency matters more than timing. Omega-3s with food. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. If you're on prescription medication, check with your GP or pharmacist before stacking anything new on top.
