Viridian Curcumin & Boswellia Complex (One-A-Day Joint & Mobility Support)
Viridian Curcumin & Boswellia Complex (One-A-Day Joint & Mobility Support)

Curcumin and boswellia are two of the most popular botanicals in the joint-routine category, and Viridian's Complex puts both into a single one-a-day capsule. If you've been taking them separately, this version tidies up the routine and makes daily use a lot more convenient.

A quality daily joint and mobility support formula for customers who want a botanical-led option.

What's in the formula

Two well-known botanicals working together:

Curcumin is the headline active compound in turmeric. It's been a popular joint-routine and daily-wellbeing supplement for decades and is one of the most-researched botanicals in current use. The challenge with curcumin has always been bioavailability (the body absorbs it poorly on its own), which is why thoughtful formulas pair it with absorption enhancers or use specific extraction processes.

Boswellia serrata, sometimes called Indian frankincense, is a tree resin extract with a long traditional history of use in joint-routine and mobility support. It's a regular feature in practitioner-recommended joint stacks.

Neither carries an EFSA-authorised health claim, so we'll keep this honest: both are very widely used as part of joint and mobility routines, and the combination is one of the most-asked-for in this category.

Who tends to take it

Active and gym-going customers using it as part of training recovery. Midlife customers working on joint comfort and mobility. Older customers who want a daily botanical-led routine. People with desk jobs whose joints feel stiff after long sitting. Walkers, runners, cyclists, and anyone whose hobbies put load through the joints.

It pairs well with a quality omega-3 and (in plant-based-friendly format) the Viridian MSM & Vegan Glucosamine combination. Browse the Joint Care collection and the Joint & Bone collection for the wider routine range.

What makes Viridian's version worth choosing

Quality standardised extracts of both botanicals, in a one-a-day format that simplifies your daily routine. No magnesium stearate, no titanium dioxide, no synthetic colourings. Vegetarian-suitable capsule shell. Hand-blended in small batches in the UK.

With curcumin in particular, the extract quality and the form matters. A cheap curcumin product without proper extraction or absorption considerations does very little. Viridian's approach across the range is to use standardised extracts at sensible doses with a clean carrier. More on the brand in the Viridian collection.

How to take it

One capsule daily with food, or as your practitioner advises. Taking it with food (particularly something that contains a bit of fat) helps with curcumin absorption. Joint-routine products work best on a long, consistent run. Give it at least 6 to 8 weeks of daily use before judging the effect.

Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding without practitioner advice. If you're on prescription medication (particularly blood thinners, antiplatelet medication, diabetes medication, or chemotherapy drugs), check with your GP or pharmacist before adding curcumin to your routine. Curcumin can interact with several common medications.

People with gallbladder issues, gallstones, or bile duct problems should speak to their GP before taking curcumin.
