Krill Oil, Omega-3 in a Form Your Body Recognises Fast
Not all omega-3s are created equal. Standard fish oil does the job. Krill oil brings something extra: omega-3s bound to phospholipids, plus naturally occurring astaxanthin (the bright red antioxidant that, yes, is what makes flamingos pink). And no fishy burps. LSC Krill Oil gives you 60 capsules in a bottle.
- Capsules
- Phospholipid-bound
- With Astaxanthin
- No fishy burps
- 1-a-day
Why krill oil
The omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250mg). DHA also contributes to maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA).
In krill oil, the EPA and DHA come bound to phospholipids rather than triglycerides. People often find them easier on the stomach and less likely to repeat on them. The astaxanthin is a bonus that fish oil simply doesn't carry.
Who it's for
- Adults wanting an omega-3 option that doesn't give them fishy burps
- People who've tried fish oil and didn't get on with it
- Anyone interested in the brain, heart and eye benefits of EPA and DHA
- Midlife and older customers focused on heart health basics
What's different about the LSC version
We stock krill oil because the form it comes in (phospholipid-bound, with astaxanthin) is genuinely different to standard fish oil. We're not anti-fish-oil. We sell Wiley's because it's excellent. But krill suits some people better, and for those people it's the obvious pick.
One capsule a day, sustainably sourced, in a sensibly sized soft cap.
How to take it
One capsule daily with food, preferably with a meal containing some fat for better absorption. Consistency over weeks is where omega-3s pull their weight.
