HIT BCAA 4:1:1 Plus Glutamine, A Leucine-Forward Training Powder
Dorian Yates Nutrition built HIT BCAA 4:1:1 + Glutamine for the kind of training Dorian himself is known for, high-intensity, low-volume, brutal on the central nervous system. The 4:1:1 ratio means four parts leucine to one part isoleucine and one part valine, with added L-glutamine in the same scoop. 450g of powder per tub, designed to be mixed into water and sipped during sessions.

Why the 4:1:1 Ratio
Standard BCAA products use a 2:1:1 leucine-to-isoleucine-to-valine ratio. The 4:1:1 split front-loads leucine, the amino acid most associated with the muscle protein synthesis signal. DY Nutrition lean into that for trainees who already hit their protein target from food and want a leucine-heavy intra-workout drink rather than another shake.
The added L-glutamine is a separate piece. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body and a common addition to training stacks, particularly for higher-volume or higher-frequency lifters.
Who It's For
- Lifters running high-intensity training in the Dorian Yates style
- Anyone who already hits a sensible daily protein number and wants an intra-workout option
- Trainees who prefer to sip something during sessions rather than rely on stims
- Customers building a DY Nutrition stack alongside protein and creatine
If you train less than three times a week, BCAAs probably aren't the priority. Look at the Protein Powders range first.
What's Different About This One
It's a Dorian Yates product. That brings a clear point of view, a 4:1:1 ratio, and added glutamine in one scoop rather than two separate tubs. We stock the wider DY Nutrition range because the formulas are dosed for people who actually train, not for label theatre.
How to Take It
Mix one scoop into 400 to 500ml of cold water and sip during training, or as directed on the tub. Use on training days. Pair with a normal water intake across the day. For wider intra and post-workout options see the Pre / Intra / Post-Workout collection.
